Taiwan Alumni E-News vol.013 from MOE Taiwan Alumni Database

The Ministry of Education announced the five winners of the 2nd Distinguished Taiwan Alumni Award on April 17 who were selected from an enormous number of people recommended.

Taiwan's Cabinet launched a short message service (SMS) that enables cellphone users to leave their contact information more conveniently when they enter a venue, amid government efforts to streamline contact tracing.

A Taiwan Scholarship recipient from Brunei recently reflected on his time in Taiwan, saying he came away impressed by Taiwan's openness and adaptation to globalization and found those helpful after he returned home.

The Ministry of Education (MOE) has launched the “Taiwan Foreign English Teacher Program (TFETP)” to recruit quality English teachers. Recruited teachers will start teaching in public elementary and secondary schools in all 22 counties and cities in Taiwan in the coming fall semester.

Living in Yuli, Hualien for 55 years, French Reverend Yves Moal dedicated himself to helping the disadvantaged. By operating a secondhand distribution center and a charity farm, Rev. Moal provides opportunities for the physically and mentally challenged, homeless, and rehabilitated residents to maintain their basic livelihoods and reconnect with society. 

The fair, to be held at the Taipei International Convention Center, will specifically target international students in Taiwan from allied nations and other countries in Latin America and Africa, as well as those from the Middle East, according to TAITRA.

TAD Activity Highlights
Graduation season is right around the corner. From April to June 2021, Taiwan Alumni Database (TAD) visited overseas Chinese and foreign students over 15 campuses across Taiwan with The Canaan Project, inviting alumni to share their experience of working and entrepreneurship in Taiwan and introducing relevant laws and regulations.
