Online Session on the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Program & Ministry of Education Scholarships
On December 16, 2024, the Education Division of the Taipei Representative Office in the EU and Belgium held an online information session on the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) program and scholarships offered by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education. Approximately 175 people took part.

Taiwan Studies Programs at Harvard and Boston University Enhance Taiwan–U.S. Academic Ties
Harvard University and Boston University both have Taiwan Studies programs that support and enhance academic research on Taiwan related topics and cultural exchanges between Taiwan and the United States, and provide opportunities for scholars to explore Taiwan-related issues in greater depth. They do this through a wide range of academic activities, including international conferences, forums, workshops, and field research grants.

Finding a road back home: Stories of shell ginger
In the fairy tale Hansel and Gretel, the children leave a trail of breadcrumbs behind them on their journey, hoping to use them to find their way home. In Taiwan, the Bunun indigenous woman Takbanuaz Ishahavut Pune and the other members of the Gaia Nahuy Workshop have followed shell ginger back to their home ground to reconnect with their cultural roots and pioneer ways for young people to return to or remain in the communities where they grew up.

2025 Year-end Banquet Connects and Strengthens Friendship among Taiwan's Overseas Chinese and International Students
The MOE SIT Alumni Database office organized three year-end banquets across Taiwan in January 2025. The events were held at Fulin Banquet Hall in Tainan on January 3, Lin Wedding Garden in Taichung on January 11, and Denwell Dazhi in Taipei on January 12. These festive gatherings showcased Taiwan's renowned hospitality and gave Overseas Chinese and international students and alumni in Taiwan the opportunity to experience traditional Lunar New Year celebrations in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

The Ministry of Education is organizing the 3rd "Overseas Chinese and International Students Job Fair" to promote the recruitment and employment of international talent in Taiwan.
In line with government’s policy of “educating, recruiting, and retaining international students,” and to encourage international talent to settle and work in Taiwan, the Ministry of Education has been hosting the Overseas Chinese and Foreign Students Campus Job Fair since 2023. The event has been held for three times, drawing over 1,000 overseas Chinese and foreign students and alumni each year. This year (2025), continuing with the goal of helping overseas students gain a better understanding of the job market and career opportunities in Taiwan, the Ministry of Education hosted the job fair in Taipei and Tainan, with participation from students of more than 80 universities and colleges.
This year's job fair consists of two sessions, held on February 14th at the National University of Tainan Sports Center and on February 21st at the GIS MOTC Convention Center Auditorium. Nearly 75 companies participated in this event.
