Taiwan Studies Project MOU Signed with Leading University in Malaysia Extends Bilateral Education Cooperation
A memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Universiti Malaya and the Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia (TECO) was signed at a ceremony held on October 30, 2023. The MOU supports a one-year Taiwan Studies Project at Universiti Malaya that will continue and deepen the bilateral professional training and education related cooperation between Taiwan and Malaysia.

Survival Mandarin - a Shining Example of US–Taiwan Education Cooperation
Houston, a sister city of Taipei since 1961, is the most populous city in Texas and one of the most diverse metropolitan areas in the United States. The Greater Houston area is home to people from all over the world and more than 140 languages are spoken there. Chinese dialects, including Mandarin, constitute the third most common non-English language spoken there, after Spanish and Vietnamese.

National Museum of History to reopen on Feb. 21
The National Museum of History (NMH) has completed its large-scale renovation project and is set to reopen to the public on Feb. 21 with a new permanent exhibition titled “Discover Our Connections, Right Here (在這裡,與大家相遇).” The museum held an opening ceremony on Feb. 7, which was attended by the Culture Minister Shih Che.

Ministry of Education (MOE) held “Year-end Banquet” in fostering the friendship between overseas Chinese and foreign students or alumni in Taiwan
To foster friendships among overseas Chinese and foreign students or alumni in Taiwan and follow their career development, we organize social activities aimed at building a network for maintaining connections and resource sharing among both overseas Chinese and foreign alumni in Taiwan. The Ministry of Education (MOE) held three sessions of “Year-end Banquet for Overseas Chinese and Foreign Students or Alumni” in North, Central and South of Taiwan. The event attracted more than 200 overseas Chinese and foreign students or alumni from nearly 40 universities.

TR ticket machines to provide TPass renewal services from Feb. 23

I think the most beautiful thing about Taiwan is the scenery along the way. I love commuting, maybe a little biased, it really makes me happy whether I walk, ride a bike, take a bus or train from someplace to another. Perhaps it’s because of the beautiful scenery or the cozy atmosphere, but in short, I enjoy commuting in Taiwan the most.
